Help me understand where my household's money goes.
Who lives here: [who is in the household, for example "two adults and a 6 year old"]
Monthly take-home pay: [amounts and where they come from]
Spending over the last few months:
"""
[paste your transaction list without personal details, or write down the expenses you remember]
"""

1. Group the spending into categories (housing, utilities, groceries, transportation, kids, health, subscriptions, fun, loan and card payments, other) with a monthly total for each.
2. Separate fixed, variable and occasional expenses (the ones that come once or twice a year, to be spread over the months).
3. List the subscriptions and recurring charges you find, so I can decide which ones I still need.
4. Tell me how much is left over or how much is missing each month.
Use only the numbers I give you. If an item is unclear, ask me instead of guessing. If typical expenses seem to be missing (for example insurance premiums or yearly fees and taxes), ask me whether I have them, without making up amounts.
